From schedule to profit for global cable projects,
all in Project Operations
Underground and submarine cable projects run on Dynamics 365 Project Operations
The challenge
LS Cable & System delivers underground and submarine cable projects through several entities in Korea and abroad. Each project runs from quotes and orders through schedule, budget, purchasing, actuals and profit. The goal was to see that whole flow in one system, working from the same data as SAP, which handles accounting and purchasing.
What we did
Qualisoft built on the standard capabilities of Dynamics 365 Project Operations and added screens shaped around construction work. Schedules, budgets and purchasing pass through approvals and flow to and from SAP, while actuals arrive from SAP automatically.
When a project is created, its document folders are set up at the same time, so deliverables from the field land in the right place.
Scope
- Schedule, budget and purchasing management
- SAP integration
- Project status dashboard and profit outlook
- Deliverable management and English screens
What changed
Every stage of a project, from schedule to profit, now connects inside one system. Entities in Korea and abroad manage their own projects from the same records, and overseas teams work in English.
